Lal Medawattegedara is a Sri Lankan author writing in English. He has written two novels and two short story collections. His fiction has won Sri Lanka’s foremost award for creative writing, the Gratiaen Prize once and has been short-listed for the same award twice. He is an academic with the Language Studies Department of The Open University of Sri Lanka.
